All accessories included in the Standard Accessories Box are provided
as a standard feature of the Basic Air Table
The VELCRO COLLARS allow simulation of a perfectly non elastic
collision when placed around the steel pucks
The two SPRINGS, allow production a variety of oscillatory
motions
The two DOUBLE HOOKS are used to tie the springs to a puck
The four REMOVABLE POSTS, are used to hook the springs to
the sides of the Air Table
The ORBITAL POST is used to produce circular motions
The PULLY allows many experiments demonstrating the force
of gravity
The SUPPLEMENTARY MASS is used to make experiments involving
collisions of unequal masses when inserted on one of the puck
The two STEEL PUCKS, weighing about 550g. each are the most
important experimentation tool on the Air Table. Most experiments
involve the use of one or both of the steel pucks
The two RUBBER BANDS allow simulation of semi-elastic collisions
when put around the steel pucks
The Air Head Assembly
is the most important part of the Air Table. It allows air under
pressure to flow through the latex tubes to the pucks and build
the air cushion over which the pucks float. Electrical current
flow throught the conducting chains running inside the tubes to
the central electrode of each puck and allow the black dots to
be printed on the paper sheet when the Sparktimer is activated
The two STEEL PUCKS, weighing about 550g. each are the most
important experimentation tool on the Air Table. Most experiments
involve the use of one or both of them
The STEEL PUCKS come as a pair, one with round edge and one
with straight edge. They are the main experimentation tool on the
Air Table. The are provided as standard accessories with all Air
Table packages.
T01-018 Magnetic Pucks (1 pair) ............ $ 100.94
The MAGNETIC PUCKS, of sizes similar to the steel pucks, are
a pair of magnetically opposed pucks that are used to simulate
a perfectly elastic collision.
When placed over the steel pucks, the CIRCULAR MAGNETS allow
various experiments were the magnetic properties of magnets are
useful.
S01-121 Paper Guide .....................................
$ 78.93
The PAPER GUIDE is used to keep a sheet of paper pressed flat
against the Air Table while it is pulled from under puck moving
sidewise between springs to obtain a sine wave like trace on the
paper.
S01-004B French Lab Manual ..................................
